Conditions & Symptoms
What is life coaching?
Life coaching is collaborative and empowering, future oriented and action-driven support from a professional who works with you to define and understand your goals and build strategies to achieve them.
How does life coaching differ from therapy?
Life coaching sessions will help you with looking at your present situation and with setting up goals you wish to achieve in the future. Therapy sessions are about addressing concerns regarding past trauma, emotional healing and mental health concerns. A licenced therapist can provide life coaching but a life coach cannot provide therapy.
Who needs life coaching sessions?
Anyone from teens, to students, to adults, to executives. Sessions in life coaching will enable you to gain clarity on your life’s direction, definition and setting of your goals, accountability to achieve them and support for challenges you may face along the way.
Neurodevelopmental Assessments
Will a diagnosis guarantee me funding?
No, while our assessments are conducted in line with the requirements of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), receiving a diagnosis does not guarantee funding. In some cases, additional reports or referrals from other professionals, such as a psychiatrist, occupational therapist, or speech therapist, may be required to support your application for funding. Even with all the necessary documentation, funding approval is subject to the specific criteria and decision-making process of the funding body or program.
Can I claim a Medicare rebate or private health insurance for these assessments?
At this stage, our assessments are not eligible for Medicare rebates or private health insurance claims.
What should I bring to my appointment?
To ensure a smooth assessment process, please bring:
Any relevant medical or educational reports.
School reports, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), or other documentation that may assist in understanding your or your child’s needs. (if not already provided)
A list of questions or concerns you’d like addressed during the process.
What age groups do you assess?
We offer assessments for children from ages 6, adolescents, and adults. Each assessment is tailored to the developmental stage and specific needs of the individual.
What is included in the assessment process?
Our comprehensive assessment process typically includes:
An initial consultation to gather background information.
Administration of standardized assessments tailored to your needs.
Analysis and interpretation of results by our qualified psychologists.
A detailed written report summarizing the findings, including strengths, challenges, and recommendations for next steps.
How long does the assessment process take?
The duration varies depending on the complexity of the case and the type of assessment required. On average, the entire process can take 4-6 weeks from the initial consultation to receiving the final report.
Do you provide follow-up support after the assessment?
Yes, we offer follow-up consultations to discuss the results and provide guidance on the next steps, including referrals to other professionals if required. We are committed to supporting you through your journey.
What if I need urgent results?
If you require results within a specific timeframe, please let us know as early as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request, though additional fees may apply for expedited reports.
