Principal Psychologist and Clinic Director.

Ben has over 20 years’ experience working as a psychologist and psychotherapist. He has worked in private practice, hospitals, medical centres, research institutes, schools, prisons, corporations, family court services and NGOs.

With a professional yet good-humoured and compassionate style, Ben focuses on helping the healing process by developing life wisdom. It is important to find a balance of open mindedness and helpful skepticism; to achieve self empowerment  by tapping into inner strengths. He espouses the dialectical approach: the most important thing a therapist can do is to be on your side AND to challenge you to find better ways to navigate problems and even learn and grow from them. You don't need harsh grandstanding or a cold technocrat, nor do you need an enabler who is complicit in any floundering and confusion. Getting the balance right is crucial and based on experience and clinical praxis. Ben works in most areas and specialises in the treatment of trauma and existential crises (often belying depression and anxiety symptoms), working with family systems and helping people find purpose and meaning on their life path.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Are you someone who is a bit deeper in nature, where you often feel that others just don’t get you? Maybe a therapist that you visited before tried an approach that was just a bit superficial and didn’t speak to your soul? Do you have the sense that deeper complexes are driving problem areas in your life as if they were the tip of the iceberg? Let’s address this complexity.

Trauma Therapy

Have you experienced a major crisis that rocked you to the core? It can be hard to put events and experiences behind you when they just won’t leave you alone.
